Don’t build that: watch TV

Did you hear the Roku radio ads promoting staying home to binge on serial programming rather than doing anything?

I first heard it the day after the re-election of Pres. Obama during my get-over-it run.

Several examples are used like “Let someone else send rovers to Mars. Stay home and watch TV”. In other words why not shrug and stop working now.

Painful how broad changes to incentives are dramatically affecting this country. I know they have affected my behavior – unemployment pay, tax rates and refunds, labor law, litigation risk, regulation. It is hard enough just adapting to the normal difficulties in life… law and society can make it worse.
