WhoHarps’ Patient Centurion

The Patient Centurion (Pandorica Suite) Doctor Who Series 5 Soundtrack Harp

In celebration of the first airing of Doctor Who Series 7 I finished a new video!

The Patient Centurion (Featured in the Pandorica Suite)
Composed by Murray Gold, Orchestrated by Ben Foster
Arranged for solo harp by Sharon Macauley

The song was featured in The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, and it’s a song for Rory Williams (Pond).

Recorded on a Lyon and Healy Style 20, built in 1903. This lovely harp still has its original soundboard. It is owned by Paul H. Hurst, and previously by DeWayne Fulton. The age of the harp accounts for all the little extra little creaks that accompany the song. Many beautiful things have been recorded on this harp, and I’m glad to add another piece to its history.

Special thanks to Paul H. Hurst, my delightful and inspiring music teacher, Ellie for hair and makeup, Jimmi Thøgersen for arrangement inspiration, and my mom and dad for helping with set and lighting. And thank you mom for doing the majority of writing of this description. : )
