Maybe these unions could provide value by taking over pension and benefit responsibilities and increase their role as outsourced HR departments. If they did this and NOT the collective bargaining against tax revenues, maybe their members could earn sympathy and get something for their money. Here’s hoping 🙂
Public unions value tenure and dues over skill. They silence members who dissent or have better ideas. Workers must go along for the ride and are compensated with big pensions for finishing. The old promise to make government work was never possible with monolithic unions in control, regarless of which political party and politicians they supported.
